Serpost, or Servicios Postales del Perú, is the Peruvian state postal company. Its site describes national and international postal services, including parcels and EMS.
Whether you can track an item depends on its number. Serpost’s FAQ says items starting with R, C or E can be traced. Those starting with UA, UH, UL, UU, LP, SY and others are common mail, with no tracking information under Universal Postal Union rules. These are delivered under the door, with just one attempt.
Kargo Radar reads the Seguimiento en Línea service on Serpost’s site, so what you see matches its record. Event text stays in Spanish, often in capitals, with the overall status in English. Kargo Radar isn’t run by Serpost and has no affiliation with it.
You’ll find the tracking number on the label, the shipping receipt or the shipping details the sender gave you. The examples below only show the format.

The last two letters show the origin country. Serpost shows these after they reach Peru.
Check the first letter. R, C or E can be traced; other prefixes, such as UA or LP, may never appear.
Numbers ending in PE are recognized automatically and looked up with Serpost. For an item mailed to Peru from abroad, choose Serpost yourself; this page’s form already has it selected.
See where your package is in a few steps, and hear about it when the status changes.
Paste your tracking number into the form on this page. The form already has Serpost selected and takes you straight to the results.
Some Serpost numbers are recognized from their format. For the rest, choose Serpost from the carrier list in the app or on the tracking page.
Each scan is listed on a timeline with its date (and time, when the carrier provides one), and the overall status is summarized as one of six standard statuses.
Save the package to your list in the Kargo Radar app and you’ll get a notification on your phone when its status changes. Packages from other carriers sit in the same list.
Kargo Radar turns each carrier’s own status wording into six standard statuses, so packages from different carriers read the same way. Each event keeps the carrier’s own description in the history, or an English rendering for carriers that only report in their local language.
Serpost events are in Spanish, usually starting with “ENVÍO”:
Serpost’s FAQ is clear on claims: only the sender can file one. National claims are made in person at an office, with the receipt and ID. It also sets waiting times, from 5 days for national items to 20 days for international registered items and 30 for parcels. If you’re the recipient, ask the sender abroad to start with their own post office.
When customs holds an item, Serpost says the reason, such as tax or extra documents, should be checked with SUNAT, since Serpost isn’t responsible for those. Kargo Radar can’t speak to customs or Serpost for you, and it can’t see items with no tracking.
Answers to common questions about Serpost packages.
Enter the number in the form at the top. Each event then appears with its date and any note, including customs and post office scans.
Serpost calls it the número de registro. Look on the receipt from the post office. If a shop abroad sent the item, the number comes from the shop or from your order’s tracking details.
We check Serpost’s record every time you search, so it’s as current as Serpost’s own page. Items often sit between scans during customs or transport, and the page can’t show those gaps.
Look at the first letters. If the number starts with UA, UH, UL, UU, LP or SY, Serpost treats it as common mail and has no tracking data. For an R, C or E number sent from abroad, wait until the item reaches Peru and check again.
Check the SUNAT portal for the reason, which can be tax or further documents. Serpost’s FAQ says customs also sends a notification, and that any tax process is handled with SUNAT rather than Serpost.
Serpost’s FAQ gives 6 months for registered items and parcels, and 4 months for EMS. Only registered items, parcels and EMS can be claimed; common mail can’t. Responses can take up to 60 calendar days for international registered items and parcels.
