GLS Italy is the Italian network of GLS, an international parcel company headquartered in Amsterdam. Its local depots, run by independent licensees, deliver parcels for businesses and online shops across Italy.
GLS Italy S.p.A., with its registered office in San Giuliano Milanese near Milan, is the franchisor of the courier network that works under the GLS brand in Italy. GLS says standard shipments are delivered during the day, generally Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. On its own site, GLS Italy lets you search by national reference, international reference, parcel ID or transport document (DDT) number.
This page uses GLS Italy’s domestic tracking, which is built for Italian GLS numbers. GLS parcels sent from other countries carry GLS’s 11-digit international numbers, which may not be found here.
You’ll find the tracking number on the label, the shipping receipt or the shipping details the sender gave you. The examples below only show the format.

Depot codes that mix a letter and a digit, such as Y1, work too when GLS Italy is selected.
Numbers made of two letters and nine digits are recognized as GLS Italy. Depot codes with a digit aren’t, so choose GLS Italy for those; the form on this page already has it selected.

Paste your tracking number into the form on this page. The form already has GLS Italy selected and takes you straight to the results.
Some GLS Italy numbers are recognized from their format. For the rest, choose GLS Italy from the carrier list in the app or on the tracking page.
Each scan is listed on a timeline with its date (and time, when the carrier provides one), and the overall status is summarized as one of six standard statuses.
Save the package to your list in the Kargo Radar app and you’ll get a notification on your phone when its status changes. Packages from other carriers sit in the same list.
Kargo Radar turns each carrier’s own status wording into six standard statuses, so packages from different carriers read the same way. Each event keeps the carrier’s own description in the history, or an English rendering for carriers that only report in their local language.
GLS tells recipients to report a problem to the sender or whoever paid for the shipment. That includes a parcel marked delivered that you didn’t get, because only the payer can request proof of delivery. GLS’s customer care line is 800184726, and there’s a contact form too.
If the packaging is damaged, note the damage in detail when you sign, or refuse the parcel. For hidden damage, tell the sender quickly: the carrier must receive the complaint within 8 calendar days, counted from the day after delivery. Kargo Radar can’t contact GLS or the sender for you.
Answers to common questions about GLS Italy packages.
Paste your GLS Italy tracking number into the form on this page. Kargo Radar looks it up with GLS Italy and lists each event with its date, time and city.
A new parcel may not have been scanned yet, and older parcels may no longer be found. Also check that the number is a domestic Italian number and not an 11-digit international GLS number.
GLS records events at its depots and on the delivery round, so there can be a gap of a day or so between updates while the parcel moves between depots.
The GLS courier makes a first and a second delivery attempt and leaves a notice each time. If you’re out at the first attempt, GLS says delivery moves to the next working day, not counting Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, and you may get an email with a link to choose a new delivery date. If the second attempt fails too, the parcel is held at the local GLS depot.
You can collect a held parcel at the GLS depot nearest your home with an ID document and the GLS shipment number. The FlexDeliveryService link, sent by email or text message, also lets you choose pickup at a GLS depot or a Parcel Shop. GLS says only the sender can change or correct the delivery address, so contact the sender for that.
