Posta Shqiptare is Albania’s postal company. It describes itself as the largest commercial company in the country’s postal and financial services market, with 533 offices nationwide and about 2,500 staff. It also has an international express service, EMS, and tracking through its website and ePosta app.
Customs is the most common reason for delay. Its Q&A page says that if an item’s declared value is above 22 euros, a customs fee has to be paid before release, and items may also be held for physical inspection. Once the fee is paid, the item carries on and can be collected at the post office.
Kargo Radar reads the ePosta tracking data. Each event is stored as Albanian text followed by an English part, but the English is often blank, and lines from its EMS courier partner are in Albanian only. Times are treated as Albanian local time, so foreign scans can be an hour or two off. Kargo Radar is unaffiliated with Posta Shqiptare and doesn’t speak for it.
You’ll find the tracking number on the label, the shipping receipt or the shipping details the sender gave you. The examples below only show the format.

Numbers ending in AL are detected as Posta Shqiptare without you doing anything. If yours ends differently, you can still try a lookup from this page’s form, which starts on Posta Shqiptare.
See where your package is in a few steps, and hear about it when the status changes.
Paste your tracking number into the form on this page. The form already has Posta Shqiptare selected and takes you straight to the results.
Paste the number into the search box on the home page or into the Kargo Radar app, and the carrier is recognized from the number’s format.
Each scan is listed on a timeline with its date (and time, when the carrier provides one), and the overall status is summarized as one of six standard statuses.
Save the package to your list in the Kargo Radar app and you’ll get a notification on your phone when its status changes. Packages from other carriers sit in the same list.
Kargo Radar turns each carrier’s own status wording into six standard statuses, so packages from different carriers read the same way. Each event keeps the carrier’s own description in the history, or an English rendering for carriers that only report in their local language.
Posta Shqiptare mostly writes events in Albanian. Kargo Radar shows the overall status in English and keeps these originals in the history:
The sender starts a trace or claim on a delayed item. They need to go to the post office where it was mailed and fill in the claim form with the recipient’s details, the weight, the contents and the destination. The post then asks the destination office for information. It says it answers within 15 days for domestic items and 2 months for international ones.
Recipients should go to the post office for customs and collection questions, and to the seller for a refund. Kargo Radar has no way to pay a customs fee or to file a claim, and it can’t get an item released.
Answers to common questions about Posta Shqiptare packages.
Enter the tracking barcode in the form. You’ll see each office, date and event, plus a plain English status alongside the Albanian wording.
Your post office receipt has it if you mailed the item. If it’s coming to you, ask the sender. Numbers look like two letters, then nine digits, then AL.
It tells you the last place Posta Shqiptare recorded. The lookup is made when you search, but international mail can go days between scans, so a quiet history doesn’t always mean it’s lost.
An empty result means Posta Shqiptare holds no events for it yet. Allow a few days after posting and recheck the letters and digits. Items not ending in AL are often better tracked with the sending country’s post.
The post’s own explanation is either a declared value above 22 euros, which means a fee is owed, or a physical inspection. Pay the customs fee and the item moves on. You can then collect it at the post office.
Posta Shqiptare’s complaints page gives 3 months for domestic mail and 6 months for international mail, counted from the posting date. For a registered item it mentions 30 days after acceptance. Claims on items sent abroad are free.
Posta Shqiptare’s data has room for both languages, but it often leaves the English half empty. Kargo Radar shows the Albanian and works out the overall status from it, so the status label is still in English.
