Hermes Germany, part of the Otto Group, is one of Germany’s largest parcel carriers for deliveries to private customers. Parcels go to the recipient’s door or to a Hermes PaketShop for collection.
Hermes Germany started in 1972 as the parcel service of the OTTO mail-order business and is based in Hamburg. It says it handles several million deliveries a day with about 5,500 employees of its own, and it carries goods for a growing number of German and international online and mail-order retailers. Private customers can send parcels with Hermes too.
This page is for Hermes in Germany (myhermes.de). In the UK, the former Hermes brand is now Evri, which runs its own tracking system.
You’ll find the tracking number on the label, the shipping receipt or the shipping details the sender gave you. The examples below only show the format.

A 14-digit number made up of digits only.
Numbers that start with H and have 19 digits are recognized as Hermes. Older 14-digit numbers look like other carriers’ numbers, so choose Hermes from the carrier list for those; the form on this page already has Hermes selected.
See where your package is in a few steps, and hear about it when the status changes.
Paste your tracking number into the form on this page. The form already has Hermes selected and takes you straight to the results.
Some Hermes numbers are recognized from their format. For the rest, choose Hermes from the carrier list in the app or on the tracking page.
Each scan is listed on a timeline with its date (and time, when the carrier provides one), and the overall status is summarized as one of six standard statuses.
Save the package to your list in the Kargo Radar app and you’ll get a notification on your phone when its status changes. Packages from other carriers sit in the same list.
Kargo Radar turns each carrier’s own status wording into six standard statuses, so packages from different carriers read the same way. Each event keeps the carrier’s own description in the history, or an English rendering for carriers that only report in their local language.
If your parcel came from an online shop and arrived damaged, Hermes sends you to that shop’s customer service. For other parcels, use Hermes’s damage form. For a missing parcel, you can ask customer service to start a search after at least 5 working days. If the search fails, Hermes emails a loss form, which asks for the proof of posting and proof of value.
WunschZustellung lets you move a delivery by up to 6 working days, or choose a neighbor, PaketShop or drop-off spot. None of this can be done through Kargo Radar, which is limited to showing Hermes’s tracking events.
