About Saudi Post

Saudi Post, also known as SPL, is Saudi Arabia’s postal operator. SPL says it has over 450 branches. Its site lists Express, Economy, Sea Freight, Mail and Door Step delivery, alongside the National Address, which it describes as a precise addressing system for locating people and organizations.

Two SPL services can change how your parcel reaches you. A shipment can be sent to your National Address, so keep it up to date in your SPL account. And Parcels Stations are machines where you can collect: SPL says you get an SMS with the parcel number, a PIN, the last pickup date and the location, then enter the number and PIN to open the box. Stations run 24 hours a day.

Kargo Radar queries SPL’s English tracking and shows its wording with little change, including the occasional spelling slip. Times are treated as Saudi time, and events at stations abroad may be slightly off because SPL doesn’t state a time zone. Reasons for failed delivery are kept, as they’re often the most useful line.

Kargo Radar has no ties to SPL or to any government body. Everything we show comes from SPL’s public tracker.

What do Saudi Post tracking numbers look like?

You’ll find the tracking number on the label, the shipping receipt or the shipping details the sender gave you. The examples below only show the format.

International item

Example format

RR795220449SA

Two letters, nine digits and SA. Recognized automatically.

Domestic shipment

Example format

CRDSAL7952204490

CRDSAL followed by 10 digits. Recognized automatically.

Other SPL shipment

Example format

EMSPRI7952204490

Six letters and 10 digits, with prefixes such as EMSPRI. Choose Saudi Post for these.

SPL says the number has 13 characters or more and is in the SMS sent to your phone. Enter it with no spaces.

Is the carrier detected automatically?

Numbers ending in SA and CRDSAL numbers are detected automatically. Other six-letter SPL numbers can look like those from other carriers, so we won’t assume they’re from Saudi Post; choose it from the list. The form on this page already has it selected.

How to track Saudi Post packages with Kargo Radar

See where your package is in a few steps, and hear about it when the status changes.

  1. 01

    Enter the number

Paste your tracking number into the form on this page. The form already has Saudi Post selected and takes you straight to the results.

  2. 02

    Pick the carrier if needed

Some Saudi Post numbers are recognized from their format. For the rest, choose Saudi Post from the carrier list in the app or on the tracking page.

  3. 03

    Follow every event

Each scan is listed on a timeline with its date (and time, when the carrier provides one), and the overall status is summarized as one of six standard statuses.

  4. 04

    Get notified

Save the package to your list in the Kargo Radar app and you’ll get a notification on your phone when its status changes. Packages from other carriers sit in the same list.

What do the tracking statuses mean?

Kargo Radar turns each carrier’s own status wording into six standard statuses, so packages from different carriers read the same way. Each event keeps the carrier’s own description in the history, or an English rendering for carriers that only report in their local language.

Shipped
The carrier has registered the shipment or picked it up from the sender. It may not have left yet.
In transit
The package is moving between facilities, countries or customs.
Out for delivery
The package is out for delivery, or it’s waiting to be collected at a branch, post office or pickup point.
Delivered
The package was handed to the recipient or collected from the pickup point.
Delivery failed
A delivery was attempted but not completed. The carrier’s next step shows up in the event history.
Returned
The package is on its way back to the sender, or it has already been returned.

Good to know about Saudi Post statuses

SPL writes its events in English sentences. These are ones you’re likely to come across:

We received your shipment details, waiting to receive your shipment from origin
SPL has the sender’s booking but not the parcel yet.
Arrived at final Destination for Delivery
It’s in the delivery area, though not yet with a courier.
With delivering courier
A courier has the parcel. Keep your phone on: one failure reason SPL lists is the customer not answering the call.
Failed delivery Attempted
The attempt failed. The reason follows, such as the customer not answering or refusing the parcel.
Shipment On Hold
Movement has paused. Contact SPL with your number to learn why.
Shipment in return cycle
The parcel has started its journey back. A later event may say it was returned to origin.

Saudi Post customer support

For a delayed or undelivered shipment, SPL’s FAQ says to contact customer support with your tracking number. Its contact center is toll-free on 19992 within the Kingdom, and its customer service page lists the number for callers abroad, email, X and a chatbot. Complaints can be filed through SPL Online within 30 days after the agreed service period ends, and SPL says it handles them within 7 working days.

Senders of international parcels should raise problems with the post office or shop that shipped them. We can’t redirect a shipment or change your National Address; only SPL can do that.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about Saudi Post packages.

How do I track a Saudi Post shipment?

Enter your SPL number above. The history lists each event with its office, starting with the most recent one, and any failed delivery reason SPL recorded.

Where do I find my SPL tracking number?

Check your SMS messages, since that’s where SPL says it sends the number. For a shop order, the seller may also have it, and for something you posted, it’s given to you when you send it.

Is the Saudi Post status on this page live?

Only in the sense that your search goes to SPL right away and returns what SPL currently reports. An SPL van doesn’t update the record as it drives, so the actual position may be ahead of the last event.

Why is my SPL number not found?

SPL may have no details yet, particularly for a shipment still abroad. Check the length too: SPL says at least 13 characters. If the SMS gave you the number and it still fails the next day, contact SPL with a copy of the message.

SPL says delivery failed. How can I change where it goes?

Sign in to the SPL app or SPL Online and look for the destination change option under your shipments. SPL says you enter the number and pick a National Address or a Parcels Station, and the price depends on the destination. Its FAQ warns this isn’t possible once a shipment is dispatched.

What does a suspended National Address mean for my delivery?

SPL says a suspended status means the address couldn’t be verified, and it may no longer be linked to you. Fix it in your SPL account so your shipment has a valid place to go. You can look up your address through SPL’s website or app, Tawakalna or Absher.

Do I pay customs on a shipment sent through SPL?

SPL’s FAQ says customs fees and taxes aren’t included in shipping costs. They’re set by the destination country and paid by the receiver, so a parcel sent to you from abroad could carry a charge on arrival.
