About Danske Fragtmænd

Danske Fragtmænd is a Danish transport and logistics company that carries goods and parcels across Denmark. It describes itself as Denmark’s largest carrier of part-load freight and lists 27 freight terminals and 40,000 business customers on its own site.

Because most of its customers are businesses, a home delivery here often works differently from a small parcel. The company says it may only leave a shipment without a signature if the sender accepted that and noted it on the consignment note. It also says it delivers 95 percent of shipments from one day to the next, with longer times possible in peak periods.

Kargo Radar reads the same consignment events that the Danske Fragtmænd Track & Trace page shows, and asks for them in English. Lookups work by consignment number only; searching by individual package (colli) code isn’t supported here. Kargo Radar is an independent app and isn’t affiliated with Danske Fragtmænd.

What do Danske Fragtmænd tracking numbers look like?

You’ll find the tracking number on the label, the shipping receipt or the shipping details the sender gave you. The examples below only show the format.

Consignment note number (fragtbrevsnummer)

Example format

FA123456

Two letters followed by six digits, as Danske Fragtmænd describes it. It’s short enough to look like other carriers’ references, so it’s never detected automatically.

Enter the number from the consignment note, not your order number. If you only have an order number, ask the sender for the consignment note number.

Is the carrier detected automatically?

A two-letter, six-digit reference can’t be tied to one carrier, so Kargo Radar doesn’t guess. The form on this page already has Danske Fragtmænd selected.

How to track Danske Fragtmænd packages with Kargo Radar

See where your package is in a few steps, and hear about it when the status changes.

  1. 01

    Enter the number

Paste your tracking number into the form on this page. The form already has Danske Fragtmænd selected and takes you straight to the results.

  2. 02

    Pick the carrier

Danske Fragtmænd numbers look like other carriers’ numbers, so Kargo Radar doesn’t guess. Choose Danske Fragtmænd from the carrier list in the app or on the tracking page.

  3. 03

    Follow every event

Each scan is listed on a timeline with its date (and time, when the carrier provides one), and the overall status is summarized as one of six standard statuses.

  4. 04

    Get notified

Save the package to your list in the Kargo Radar app and you’ll get a notification on your phone when its status changes. Packages from other carriers sit in the same list.

What do the tracking statuses mean?

Kargo Radar turns each carrier’s own status wording into six standard statuses, so packages from different carriers read the same way. Each event keeps the carrier’s own description in the history, or an English rendering for carriers that only report in their local language.

Shipped
The carrier has registered the shipment or picked it up from the sender. It may not have left yet.
In transit
The package is moving between facilities, countries or customs.
Out for delivery
The package is out for delivery, or it’s waiting to be collected at a branch, post office or pickup point.
Delivered
The package was handed to the recipient or collected from the pickup point.
Delivery failed
A delivery was attempted but not completed. The carrier’s next step shows up in the event history.
Returned
The package is on its way back to the sender, or it has already been returned.

Good to know about Danske Fragtmænd statuses

These lines come from the carrier’s English event text:

We have received information about your consignment from the sender.
The sender booked the transport. The goods may not have been collected yet.
Consignment picked up at the sender.
A driver has the shipment and it’s now in the Danske Fragtmænd network.
Danske Fragtmænd [city] is handling the consignment.
The shipment is at that freight terminal. You may see several of these as it moves between terminals.
Ready to deliver to the recipient, delivery is expected today.
It’s planned for delivery today, but it hasn’t left yet.
The consignment has left Danske Fragtmænd [city] for delivery to the recipient.
It’s on a truck heading to the delivery address.
Restanteboks
Used on the carrier’s Danish pages. Your shipment is at your nearest freight terminal, ready for you to collect.

Danske Fragtmænd customer support

Danske Fragtmænd says it has six customer service centres for questions about a shipment, and it lists contact details and opening hours for each freight terminal. Have the consignment note number ready when you get in touch.

Whoever booked the transport has the most control over it. Rebooking a failed delivery goes through the sender, and so do changes to what was agreed. Kargo Radar can only show what the carrier reports. It can’t book a delivery, change an address or open a claim for you.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about Danske Fragtmænd packages.

How do I track a Danske Fragtmænd shipment?

Type the consignment note number into the form above. You’ll see each terminal scan with its date and place. There’s no account to create, and you can save the shipment in the Kargo Radar app to be notified about status changes.

Where do I find the consignment note number?

It’s on the consignment note, and Danske Fragtmænd says it consists of two letters and six digits. If you’re the recipient and don’t have it, the sender who booked the transport can give it to you.

Does this page show the shipment’s live position?

It shows the latest scan Danske Fragtmænd reports at the moment you look it up, not a GPS position. A truck can be well on its way before the next scan appears, so the page may lag behind what’s really happening.

Why does it say the consignment number wasn’t found?

Check the two letters and six digits first. A number from a package label or an order won’t work here, because only consignment numbers are looked up. If the transport was booked very recently, it may not be registered yet, so try again later or ask the sender.

A delivery attempt failed. How do I get it redelivered?

Danske Fragtmænd says you can’t order redelivery directly from it. Contact the sender to agree what happens next, or collect the shipment yourself from the freight terminal. Terminal addresses are on the carrier’s site.

What does “delivered in the restanteboks” mean?

According to the carrier’s FAQ, your shipment has been delivered to your nearest freight terminal and is waiting for you to pick it up. It hasn’t reached your address, so check the terminal’s opening hours before you go.

Can I see the signed consignment note or the delivery location?

The carrier says both are available in its own Track & Trace, but only with a login, and it asks you to email its customer service for that. Kargo Radar doesn’t show either of them.
