Poste Italiane is Italy’s national postal service. Its business parcel range is called Poste Delivery Business, and the express courier services of SDA Express Courier have moved into Poste Italiane. All of them are tracked on poste.it’s “Cerca spedizioni” page.
Poste Italiane is Italy’s universal postal service provider, a role the Italian government has extended from 1 May 2026 to 31 December 2036. Poste says a domestic tracking number is an alphanumeric code, while international items follow the UPU S10 format, for example ZA123456789IT. Its Poste Delivery Business range covers business shipments, with Express, Standard and International options.
Poste Italiane limits how many lookups can be made in a short time. If a search fails now and then, try again a little later.
You’ll find the tracking number on the label, the shipping receipt or the shipping details the sender gave you. The examples below only show the format.

Often 12 digits; some parcel codes mix letters and digits. These look like other carriers’ numbers.
International numbers ending in IT are recognized automatically. Domestic numbers aren’t, so choose Poste Italiane from the carrier list for those; the form on this page already has it selected.

Some Poste Italiane numbers are recognized from their format. For the rest, choose Poste Italiane from the carrier list in the app or on the tracking page.
Each scan is listed on a timeline with its date (and time, when the carrier provides one), and the overall status is summarized as one of six standard statuses.
Save the package to your list in the Kargo Radar app and you’ll get a notification on your phone when its status changes. Packages from other carriers sit in the same list.
Kargo Radar turns each carrier’s own status wording into six standard statuses, so packages from different carriers read the same way. Each event keeps the carrier’s own description in the history, or an English rendering for carriers that only report in their local language.
Poste Italiane publishes its tracking events in Italian only. Kargo Radar keeps the original wording in the event history and shows the overall status in English. Terms you may see:
For a stuck parcel, you can write, call or chat through Poste Italiane’s help pages. To complain, use the online form for parcels and express courier, or go to a post office. A registered letter or certified email also works.
Poste says it generally answers postal complaints within 45 working days. If it doesn’t, or you’re unhappy with the reply, you can request conciliation for domestic and international shipments. Kargo Radar has no access to Poste’s complaint system and can’t submit one on your behalf.

SDA says the express courier services of the former SDA Express Courier have moved to Poste Italiane, and booking, tracking and release now happen only on poste.it. On 1 July 2024, SDA’s logistics, transport and technical-courier branch was split off into Poste Logistics. SDA Express Courier is still part of the Poste Italiane group.
