Cainiao is the logistics network of Alibaba Group and ships many AliExpress orders. It takes parcels from sellers and warehouses, sends them abroad and hands them to a local postal service or courier in the destination country for the last part of the trip.
Kargo Radar checks Cainiao’s global tracking system. Besides Cainiao’s own numbers, that system often knows the numbers its partner carriers use, so the record can continue with customs and local delivery events.
You’ll find the tracking number on the label, the shipping receipt or the shipping details the sender gave you. The examples below only show the format.

Example format
DOFR…HD / CNUSUP…
Numbers Cainiao uses for local delivery in France (DOFR, 13 digits, then HD) and in the US (CNUSUP and 11 digits).
You’ll find the tracking number in the order details on AliExpress. If the order shows a second number for the local carrier, you can track that one too.
Numbers in the formats above are recognized as Cainiao. Cainiao also tracks many partner numbers, such as international postal numbers, but those aren’t detected as Cainiao automatically. The form on this page already has Cainiao selected, so any number you enter here is checked with Cainiao.

Paste your tracking number into the form on this page. The form already has Cainiao selected and takes you straight to the results.
Some Cainiao numbers are recognized from their format. For the rest, choose Cainiao from the carrier list in the app or on the tracking page.
Each scan is listed on a timeline with its date (and time, when the carrier provides one), and the overall status is summarized as one of six standard statuses.
Save the package to your list in the Kargo Radar app and you’ll get a notification on your phone when its status changes. Packages from other carriers sit in the same list.
Kargo Radar turns each carrier’s own status wording into six standard statuses, so packages from different carriers read the same way. Each event keeps the carrier’s own description in the history, or an English rendering for carriers that only report in their local language.
For an AliExpress order, go through AliExpress rather than Cainiao. Cainiao’s help page says that if tracking hasn’t updated 12 days after the seller shipped, contact the seller. Past the promised delivery date, use AliExpress’s customer service or its disputes page. AliExpress says a dispute generally opens from the 11th day after shipment, and if the parcel is still within the promised time, you may have to wait.
Kargo Radar can’t open a dispute or ask for a refund, since all it sees is the tracking record.
Answers to common questions about Cainiao packages.
Open the order on AliExpress, copy the tracking number and paste it into the form on this page. Kargo Radar looks it up in Cainiao’s tracking system and lists every event with its date and place.
Long gaps between scans are normal while a parcel is leaving China, waiting for customs or being handed to the local carrier. If the number isn’t found at all, the seller may have created the label but not handed the parcel over yet.
Usually a local postal service or courier. The Cainiao record often keeps showing that carrier’s scans. If it stops before delivery, track the local carrier’s number if your order shows one.
