Chronopost is the express parcel carrier of the French La Poste group and a member of Geopost, the group that also runs DPD. It delivers parcels across France, to the door or to a pickup point, and sends parcels abroad.
Chronopost was created by the La Poste Group in 1985 and calls itself France’s leading provider of express parcel delivery up to 30 kg. With more than 140 facilities, it offers next-day delivery before 1 p.m. to and from all areas of mainland France, and it delivered more than 265 million parcels in 2024. Its 25,000 proximity points in France include Chronopost depots, post offices and Pickup points.
Kargo Radar checks Chronopost’s official tracking service and shows each event in English.
You’ll find the tracking number on the label, the shipping receipt or the shipping details the sender gave you. The examples below only show the format.

Chronopost says parcels coming from abroad have a 15-character number.
Numbers with a Chronopost-only ending such as TS, JB or RV are recognized as Chronopost. Numbers ending in FR and 15-character numbers from abroad aren’t, so choose Chronopost for those; the form on this page already has it selected.

Paste your tracking number into the form on this page. The form already has Chronopost selected and takes you straight to the results.
Some Chronopost numbers are recognized from their format. For the rest, choose Chronopost from the carrier list in the app or on the tracking page.
Each scan is listed on a timeline with its date (and time, when the carrier provides one), and the overall status is summarized as one of six standard statuses.
Save the package to your list in the Kargo Radar app and you’ll get a notification on your phone when its status changes. Packages from other carriers sit in the same list.
Kargo Radar turns each carrier’s own status wording into six standard statuses, so packages from different carriers read the same way. Each event keeps the carrier’s own description in the history, or an English rendering for carriers that only report in their local language.
If you’re the recipient, the “Change your delivery” button on Chronopost’s tracking page offers options such as a new date, a pickup point or a neighbor. It closes once the parcel is probably out for delivery. For a lost or damaged parcel you’re receiving, Chronopost says to contact your sender.
Individual senders claim through customer service, within 14 days of the delivery date or 21 days for international shipments. We only read Chronopost’s tracking, which means Kargo Radar can’t rebook a delivery or claim compensation.

Usually 13: two letters, nine digits and two letters, for example XX123456789FR. Chronopost says parcels coming from abroad have 15 characters. Enter the number without spaces.
Chrono 13 is Chronopost’s next-day service with delivery before 1 p.m., Monday to Friday except public holidays; Saturday delivery is an option. Chronopost says some coastal islands can take one more day, and Corsica and the day after a public holiday have no guaranteed time. Other timed services include Chrono 9, Chrono 10 and Chrono 18.
For Chrono 13 parcels, Chronopost says the package is held for 14 days at the post office or a Chronopost agency if the recipient is absent; the period at a Pickup point is shorter. With Chronopost’s Predict service, the recipient can also reschedule the delivery to another day or a chosen location.
